No Choice

BRENTWOOD, N.H. -- A 19-year-old North Yarmouth, Maine, woman has accused her parents of kidnapping her after she told them she was pregnant.
Katelyn Kampf told police that her parents, Nicholas Kampf, 54, and Lola Kampf, 53, kidnapped her Friday, forcing her into their car to take her to New York state for an emergency abortion.
In court documents, police said Katelyn told them her parents were upset Friday after she told them she was pregnant, chased her into their yard, tied her hands and feet and loaded her into their car. She said she was also gagged.
I’m saying this right now: I don't think that abortion is a bad thing. People might not like that, but tough shit. Once you cut the "A NONDESCRIPT COLLECTION OF CELLS RESTING IN A WOMB IS A HUMAN" crap and start adopting one of the millions of kids that end up unwanted or abandoned to shitty foster homes where they get raped/beaten/neglected and used as a meal ticket, we'll talk.
That being said, I don't like it when people want to portray me or others that believe the same way I do like we're out punching pregnant mothers in the stomach and stomping on newborns. That's a load of bullshit. That being said, I most definitely support a woman's right to choose. It's her body, not yours, end of story.
However, in this news article, the girl didn't have a choice from the start, and that's more terrifying than any over-dramatized, misrepresenting, Texas Chainsaw Massacre-esque pro-life propaganda could ever aspire to be.
[Note: Seriously, scissors in a baby's head? Dismembered newborns? Where do you people get this shit? For being so pro-life, you seem perfectly content to view snuff pics of babies being smashed against rocks in Southern Bumfuckistan (i.e., not a practiced medical procedure as is standard for most countries).]
I can understand being concerned about your child’s choice in partners. It’s not really sensible unless they’re a psychotic meth-addict who kicks puppies, but I can see how some parents would be perturbed by that. But to kidnap your own fucking daughter and force her to abort something that she desires is just disgusting, not to mention extremely selfish. It doesn't matter who the partner is, you don't intrude on someone's life like that and force them to make a decision that they obviously don't want to do. Doesn't matter if the guy's in jail, doesn't matter if he's perched atop a clock tower with a high-powered rifle taking potshots at pedestrians: if she wants to keep the child, she has every fucking right to.
Besides, I highly doubt that she's going to be a suckier parent than you two colossal morons. Somebody should have forced you to have been aborted, you pair of assholes. (Yes, I know that creates a time paradox. Leave me alone. )
