Why Can't You Just Fucking Listen To Me Part II
Well, suspicions were just pretty much confirmed. I got another late-night (in CST) message from her, so I'm pretty sure she's shacking up there. At the very least, my parents are associating with them which is the polar opposite of what they said they would do when I was there over Thanksgiving. Double standards are so cool!
"YEAH FUCK THEM oh wait here they are hi!! come on in, stay with us, leech off of us again! It's okay that you lied to us and used us last time you were here, really!"
So I'm going to take the consensus advice here from the people that have been polled and cut my ties with her. I'm still going to contact my grandmother, but my mom can deal without me for a while, since she basically acts like I'm nonexistent anyways when it comes to me looking out for their welfare. I'm done with trying to look out for she and my stepdad and convince them to do the sensible thing. If they get taken for a ride again and go broke, fuck it. I tried to warn them and made the mistake of assuming that the convictions that they so vehemently expressed to me ("she took off with the kids, he's all doped up, no more of that crap, blahblahblah") the last time I was there would hold up.
I love you both, but I'm not going to put up with being treated like I'm a nobody except for when you're feeling lonely and need someone to talk to. Call me when you're ready to treat me like a human being.
